Son of a subedar in the Indian army, Kamlesh Nagarkoti is a young and upcoming speedster from the state of Rajasthan. His name first came into prominence when he picked up the first hat-trick for his state team in List A cricket. Kamlesh was also a part of the U19 World Cup squad for India in 2018.


Nagarkoti impressed everyone during the tournament with his speed and skill set and formed a lethal pace attack with Shivam Mavi. After his success, Kolkata bagged him for the Indian T20 League in that year for INR 3.2 crore. But a fractured foot took him out of his maiden Indian T20 League and later, a recurring back injury stalled his career for 19 months. Despite all his injury concerns, the Kolkata franchise invested in him and kept him in their wings.
