Kane Richardson is a talented fast bowler in South Australia's ranks. At the age of 18, he made his Twenty20 debut in a Big Bash game against Queensland in 2009.

The hard working lad was a part of Australia's World Cup winning Under-19 team in 2010. In the final, he played a match winning knock of 44, thereby helping his team to clinch the title. Kane also spent some of his off season time at Cricket Australia's Centre of Excellence. He continued to play more in the shorter format of the game, impressing with some raw pace and aggressive approach.

In the summer of 2012-13, Kane demonstrated a fine spell of bowling with figures of 6-48 against Queensland, which further led to his inclusion in that year's Big Bash League. After notable displays there, he was called up to Australia's ODI squad, handing him an international debut against Sri Lanka. Kane Richardson was picked by the Pune team in the Indian T20 league player auction ahead of season six and later bagged by the Rajasthan team for Rs. 1 crore for the seventh season of the Indian T20 league.
