The all-rounder Karn Sharma first played for Railways in a Ranji Trophy game against Jammu and Kashmir in 2007. He hit a ton on his debut which should tell one and all about his batting skills. He won BCCI award for the Best Under-25 cricketer after taking 21 wickets at 19.04 in three Ranji games in 2012. He also wrecked havoc taking 8/97 against Rajasthan which remains his best bowling figure in an innings in First-Class cricket.
The southpaw has also represented Uttar Pradesh at the Under-14 level. He was first signed by the Bangalore in the Indian T20 League, followed by the Hyderabad team in 2013 where he impressed everyone with his immaculate control and economy. No wonder Hyderabad spent Rs. 3.75 crores on him in order that he should play again for their team.
Karn made his Test debut in Australia at Adelaide in 2014 but could not impress much. He though has had two good years in Indian T20 League winning two titles in two years - first with Hyderabad in 2016 and then with Mumbai in 2017. He was impressive in the tenth edition of the tournament and will be eager to stage a comeback in the national team.
