Pace bowlers in India are always looked-forward to eagerly. No wonder when Kulwant Khejroliya came into the Indian circuit, he set the tongues wagging with his pace. The left-arm pacer hails from Rajasthan and plies his trade in the domestic scene for Delhi.

Khejroliya made his First Class debut in the 2017-18 season against Assam. He picked up 18 wickets in the season, including a six-fer in the semi-final of the Ranji Trophy. But much before this, he was signed up as an uncapped player by Mumbai for the Indian T20 League in 2017. He wasn’t seen in action then, though.

In his debut List A season in 2016-17, he was the leading wicket-taker for Delhi. His economy rate also impressed many. His form in limited overs continued. In the following year, he was again the leading wicket-taker for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. It wouldn’t be entirely wrong in stating that he bowled Delhi to a win in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He led the wickets chart for his side, which ended up being victorious.

On the back of these outings, Bengaluru snaffled him up in the auction of the 2018 edition of the Indian T20 League. With such performances behind him, Khejroliya can hope of getting exposure as well as some game time in the multi-starred T20 tournament. That he has turned tables won’t be an understatement as he served tables at a restaurant in Goa, before enrolling into Sanjay Bharadwaj’s cricket academy, from where he was spotted and picked initially.
