Profile

Narayan Jagadeesan is a domestic Indian cricketer who hails from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Jagadeesan is a right-handed batsman and wicketkeeper. He made his first-class debut for Tamil Nadu in the 2016-17 season of Ranji Trophy and scored a century to get adjudged as the Player of the Match.

He came into limelight after consistently scoring runs in the Tamil Nadu T20 League and this caught the attention of the Chennai-based franchise who bought him at his base price for the 11th edition of the Indian T20 league. He had to wait till 2020 to play his first match in the tournament but didn't get much success in a limited outing.

Narayan's stocks though kept on rising in the domestic circuit as he was the leading run-scorer in the 2020-21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and also top-scored for Tamil Nadu in the 2020-21 Vijay Hazare Trophy. With Chennai looking to build a team for future, Jagadeesan could be the one player to rely upon.
