India beat the Windies by 5 wickets in a low-scoring T20I at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday to take a 1-0 lead in the three match series. The Windies batting unit failed to fire after being asked to bat first, leaving India with a small total to chase down. Speaking after the game, Fabian Allen stated that the batsmen – himself included – should have looked to play each ball on its merit and be more patient. He further added that a target of 140 or 150 would have been a good target on the Eden Gardens track.
