Bhubaneshwar: India won the second ODI at Cuttack on Wednesday by 20 runs.
Even after being bowled out for just 189, the Indians fought back valiantly to clinch victory.
Dinesh Karthik, playing in the team as a batsman, was named man of the match for his brilliant 63 on a track where scoring runs was very difficult.
After the match Karthik said that his only aim was to put up a partnership with the remaining batsmen.
"When I went in it was 35/3 and Sachin had just got out. It was a huge wicket to lose. So it was important that I put up a partnership with other batsmen and that's what I did," Karthik said.
"I had a huge faith in Ajit Agarkar, Zaheer Khan and Ramesh Powar as all of then can bat," he added.
