Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has been one of the many celebrities who has endorsed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Campaign with aim to spread awareness and cleanliness in the country.
Staying true to that, Sachin took to the streets of Mumbai to spread awareness about the Swachh Bharat programme on Monday.
In a video posted online, Sachin was seen sweeping the roadside with a broom and interacting with various young school students and asking them to join him too.
One of the students, followed suit and joined in to help the former cricketer clean up.
This is not the first time that Tendulkar has got his hands dirty to help spread awareness about cleaner and healthier living conditions.
Prime Minister Modi only recently stressed that cleanliness has its own importance in everyone's life, and also said that the 'Swachh Bharat Mission' has now become a success across the globe.
"Swachh Bharat Mission has become a success story world over, everyone is talking about it now. India is holding the World's biggest ever Swachhta Convention - Mahatma Gandhi International Sanitation Convention. Sanitation ministers and other experts from across the world are sharing their experiences on cleanliness," Modi said.
The convention will culminate with the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2.
