Two time World Cup champion and man-of-the-series in India's 2011 World Cup triumph Yuvraj Singh announced his retirement from IPL and international cricket. Speaking to the media, Yuvraj said that he had made up his mind last year about not wanting to continue after IPL 2019.

Speaking about the future, Yuvraj added that he would like to enjoy his cricket for the next couple of years and will be playing in global T20 leagues around the world, and have fun with the bat.
