Former India international Hemang Badani said after India's opening win of the ICC World Cup 2019 that he was happy to see that the team's bowling line-up looks to take wickets regularly rather than simply contain the flow of runs. Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal laid the platform for victory as India restricted an injury-hit South Africa to 227 for nine in 50 overs. Chahal returned figures of 4-51 after Bumrah did the early damage by dismissing both South Africa openers.
