After suffering a 4-run defeat in the first game, India bounced back strongly in the second game as they reduced the hosts to 74/6 at one stage. Ben McDermott, however, played a crucial role crafting a 30-ball 32 to take his side to 132/7 in 19 overs before rain brought a halt to the proceedings. Speaking to the media at the post-match press conference the batsman lamented the early loss of wickets in the Power Play but insisted that Australia had the edge over India going into the SCG.
