The first Test match between India and England at Edgbaston is delicately poised, with both sides looking to strike telling blows in the early hours of Day 4. India were in danger of collapsing like a pack of cards on the third day, till captain Virat Kohli dug in to thwart the English bowlers. The captain, who scored 149 to save his side embarrassment in the first innings, will resume on Day 4 at 43 with Dinesh Karthik for company. This poor show by the Indian batsmen outside the subcontinent has been a constant in the last few years. Cricket expert Azaz Memon, former India international Rohan Gavaskar and Network 18s Group Editor (Sports) Gaurav Kalra discuss what ails the Indian batting abroad.
