England batsman and former captain Alastair Cook will retire from international cricket after the fifth and final Test against India which begins on Friday. Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Cook picked the away Test series wins in India and Australia as his personal career highlights. He also added that during that time period, he felt he became the best batsman he could be. However, he did mention the one major regret in his career that he felt could have been better handled. "Clearly the KP (Kevin Pietersen) affair was a tough year. I have no doubt about that. The fallout for that wasn't great for English cricket, wasn't great for me.”
