Windies Series a Good Chance for Newcomers to Prove their Mettle, Says Ajinkya Rahane

Cricketnext Staff | October 2, 2018, 7:24 PM IST

After the forgettable tour of England, the Indian cricket team are back in their favourite conditions, at home, and will play against a weak West Indian side in the two Test match series. Speaking ahead of the first Test in Rajkot, vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane believes this is the perfect chance for players like Mayank Agarwal and Prithvi Shaw to make their case for a spot in the team by virtue of good performances. Rahane, a key figure in the middle order also believes it is important for the Indian team to change their mindsets from the English conditions and adapt to the home conditions quickly so that they don't face any problems in the series.
