World Cup: Bangladeshi fans continue their protest over Rohit Sharma no-ball

A day ahead of the big final between Australia and New Zealand, the Bangladeshi fans are still furious after a controversial decision by umpire Aleem Dar ruled Rohit Sharma not out in the quarter-final clash between India and Bangladesh.

The Bangladeshi fans refuse to accept the defeat and have taken extraordinary step of protesting outside the MCG despite India not playing in the final.
Team India was knocked out of the tournament by Australia in the semis by 95 runs.

Many fans were seen holding placard which read as 'We want fair play' and 'ICC we want justice for unfair umpiring.'

When asked what they were protesting for, one of them said, "We didn't think it was fair play and umpires were biased towards Team India and we think ICC was supporting the Indian team."

"Definitely it was biased and it was bad umpiring that day. The no ball which was called by the umpire was a bad decision and the other one was six - the leg of Shikhar Dhawan touched the boundary but it was actually given out but it was six," another fan told CricketNext.

When asked whether the result was manipulated by the umpires, the fans said yes and also accused ICC of being biased towards India. They said "Jeetega India" caption coming up again and again on the big screen.

"It was unfair for cricket. Not only Bangladesh but cricket. Cricket is a gentlemen's game and it should stay like that," another miffed fan said.

Just a day after the India-Bangladesh quarter-final, ICC president Mustafa Kamal, a Bangladeshi, had also said that, "If needed, I will resign from the ICC. Speaking as fan, it appears to me that it (ICC) has become Indian Cricket Council. There needs to be an investigation. A result was forced on us today," he told a private TV channel a day after Bangladesh lost to India.
