Rajeev Masand is an acclaimed Indian film critic and an entertainment reporter for CNN-News18. He started his career at a young age of 16 and soon climbed the ladders of the entertainment industry. Rajeev is perhaps the only entertainment journalist in the country to have had 2 eponymous film shows – “Masand Ki Pasand” (on Star News) and “Rajeev Masand Ki Pasand” (currently on IBN7) – which redefined the rules of how a TV film critic connects to his audience. He pushes the envelope of innovation further on “Now Showing” on CNN-News18, which is characterised by tremendous interactivity, viewer participation, online communities, and user-generated discussion of a very high magnitude. Among other recognitions, Rajeev was thrice adjudged “Best Entertainment Critic” by the National Television (NT) Awards, in 2008, 2010 and 2011.
Daniel Fernandes is an admired Indian stand-up comedian well known for making the darkest things sound funny without offending anyone hence 'mastering the art of comedy'. His dark and surreal genre pertains to social issues like free speech, student suicide, death penalty and many more. In the year 2015 October, he accompanied Nawazuddin Siddiqui for the promotion of the movie Manjhi: The Mountain Man. In the same year, he also hosted Forbes India’s entrepreneurial awards event and the 30Under30 show. He has collaborated with several Indian stand-up comedians in the past and currently hosts his own online series titled ‘You Started It’ which has recently come up with its second season.
He is currently on tour with his latest comedy special ‘Shadows’ which has received rave reviews from fans from across the country.
When he is not on stage, Daniel also runs a comedy production company called Microphone Entertainment which curates and produces live comedy at clubs and comedy festivals in India.
