The fifth generation Mercedes Benz C Class will be getting unique bumpers, beefed-up underbody protection things, and increased ride height among other things. The upcoming car has been made on the MRA (Modular Rear Architecture) platform. The benefit of MRA as per the reportincludes an advanced electrical architecture that supports a 48V system that will play an important role in providing a new range of plug-in hybrid drivetrains. Moreover, because of the MRA structure, it will have a multi-link rear suspension and a double-wishbone front.

Images of the car have been shared on a Facebook page called The Automobilist. In the picture of the cabin, it can be seen that the makers have reworked on their infotainment system in order to accommodate their second-generation MBUX software. Apart from that, changes have been made to the air vents’ design. An unmissable part of this cabin is the absence of rotary controller and physical gear shifter. There are chances that the functions of these two things will now be carried out either through the steering wheel or the infotainment system.
