The Japanese automaker, Mitsubishi Motors has announced revised prices of one of its most selling SUV, the Pajero Sport. After the implementation of the goods and services tax in the country, Mitsubishi Pajero Sports is now Rs 1.04 lakh cheaper and available at Rs 26.54 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Earlier it used to cost Rs 27.69 lakh.

Powered by a 2.5-litre turbocharges diesel engine that churns out 178 bhp, the SUV gets 2 transmission options – the 4x4 5-speed manual variant produces 400 Nm of peak torque and the 4x2 version comes with a 5-speed automatic variant that produces 350 Nm of torque.

This May, Mitsubishi also introduced a Select Plus variant in its Pajero Sport range. The new variant is powered by the same 2.5-litre diesel engine but gets both transmissions. The Select Plus variant also gets blacked-out alloy wheels, front grille, pillars and body mouldings.

Most of the automakers in the country have revised the prices after the implementation of goods and services tax. Passing on to the customer the benefits under the new GST regime, many luxury carmakers such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi have already slashed prices of their popular cars in India.
