Hyundai had showcased the much-anticipated Tucson at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo held in February and earlier announced that the car will be launched on October 24, which was postponed. The company has now announced a new date for the launch – November 14.
The Tucson nameplate has been previously a part of the Korean automaker's lineup and it is the third generation of that car that will be launched. When asked about the pricing of the car, the company had said that it will sit between the Creta and the Santa Fe. We expect it to be priced around the Rs 20 lakh mark.
The biggest attraction for the Tucson would be the bold stance that it has, thanks to the Fluidic 2.0 design language, which also made it's way into the recently launched Elantra. The sharp styling is carried all the way to the back, giving the car an aggressive stance.Hyundai Tucson from the rear. (Photo Courtesy: Hyundai Worldwide)
In terms of interiors, the SUV will come fitted with a touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity complimented by the dual-tone upholstery.Hyundai Tucson's interiors. (Photo Courtesy: Hyundai Worldwide)
There has been no announcement about what kind of engine will be powering the Tucson.
As of now, we will have to wait to see as to how the company prices the car as it is expected to take on the likes of the Honda CR-V and the Skoda Yeti.
