We had reported in November last year that Maruti Suzuki could launch the Ciaz facelift in April 2017 in India as per the latest teasers shared on the company's social media handles, the new Ciaz launch is going to happen in April. Here are the expected updates.
The official twitter handle of the Nexa chain by Maruti Suzuki recently tweeted this.

The updated Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is expected to get several updates on the outside and addition of new features inside.
The expected changes include an updated front-end design with updated projector headlamps which will also integrate Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), along with a new bumper and an updated grille layout. The side profile is expected to be largely the same but will now come with an updated wheel design. The refreshed approach to the design language is also expected to be carried over to the back with a new taillight design and a new bumper.
When it comes to the engine, though, the new Ciaz is expected to be powered by the same engines – a 1.4-litre petrol and the 1.3-litre diesel engine and is expected to offer the choice of an AMT transmission too.
What remains to be seen is what kind of power figures do these engines deliver and whether Maruti Suzuki decides to give these a tweak for a bump in power delivery.
Interestingly, the expected launch comes right after the launch of the updated 2017 Honda City which had received similar changes in its design following a slight dip in sales as the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz had been eating into its share of the pie in this segment.
As of now, more details are awaited regarding the updated Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. Watch this space for updates.
