Maruti Suzuki is set to launch the 2017 version of their popular sub-4 metre compact sedan Swift DZire as the company has teased the upcoming car's sketch. The launch comes after Tata Motors recently launched their all-new entry into this segment in the form of the Tigor and Hyundai updated their offering into this segment – Xcent with a facelift.
As per reports, the car is expected to sport similar design language as the new Suzuki Swift that was unveiled globally recently. This includes a revised front bumper with a new grille, meant to give the car an aggressive look. The DZire facelift is also expected to receive a redesigned rear bumper with a set of new tail lights although the side profile might remain largely similar to the current model barring a new wheel design.
The expected changes inside the cabin include the likes of a dual-tone finish dashboard with faux-wood inserts, new instrument cluster, flat bottom steering wheel and the biggest attraction inside the new DZire is expected to be a new touchscreen infotainment system, like their recently launched Ignis – that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
When it comes to the heart of the new car, though, then it is expected to be powered by the existing range of petrol and diesel engines in the same state of tune.
