Royal Enfield, the mid-capacity motorcycle manufacturer from India is diversifying its portfolio with higher capacity motorcycles, including the recently announced 650-cc twins Interceptor and GT. Both the bikes are the most-awaited products in India and will be the first parallel-twin bikes from the house of Royal Enfield. Before the world and India get a taste of these highly anticipated motorcycle, Royal Enfield commissioned London based customizer called the Bike Shed Motorcycle Club to produce a one-off customized bike called the Lock Stock, based on both the 650 bikes. Here’s a detailed image gallery-
The customized Royal Enfield 650 by Bike Shed Motorcycle Club is called the Lock Stock and this is the first time the all-new 650 cc engine of the upcoming Royal Enfield Interceptor and Continental GT 650 has been used in a custom motorcycle. It is an official factory custom motorcycle commissioned by Royal Enfield itself.
The custom house designed the Lock Stock in the dragster format it looks insane. The engine and the fuel tank are borrowed from the Continental GT. Everything else, including the chassis, seat, handlebar, headlamp, body panels, rims, tyres and suspension are custom made for this motorcycle specially.
The bike has a customised drop-bar type handlebars for a lower drag coefficient. It also gets an extended wheelbase, a new air-intake that feeds more air to the engine, a customized, naked rear wheel, and a front wheel that has been covered in a new panel to minimize the air resistance. The new alloy wheels get fatter tyres for a better grip.
There is no announcement on details like the power output and the modifications done to the bike. However, we can see a NOS tank placed behind the engine to get a higher top-speed. There is not much information on the Continental 650 and GT 650 also, and we have to wait for a formal announcement to know more about these bikes.
