Japanese car maker Subaru has announced that the new Impreza will make its European debut at the 67th Frankfurt Motor Show, open to the public September 16-24, 2017.

The new version of the Japanese compact car is built with a new platform promising to boost rigidity by 70%. The new model also has a lower center of gravity, by 5mm, promising improved handling and agility, steering response, hazard avoidance and driving comfort.

This model notably comes with EyeSight driver assist technology as standard, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Pre-Collision Braking and Lane Departure and Sway Warning, plus a Lane Keep Assist function.

Not that Subaru is yet to announce engine specs for the European Impreza.

Since the first-gen model launched in 1992, almost 2.5 million Imprezas have been sold worldwide, with 10% of those sold in Europe. The Subaru Impreza was even named "Car of the Year" in Japan in December 2016.
