Maruti Suzuki Concept Future S

While there was a lot of focus on the launch of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, the largest Indian manufacturer also showcased a couple of concept cars, the prominent among which was the Maruti’s Future S Concept. ’ConceptFutureS’ is a compact car that company claims to have a bold presence with distinct SUV like character which is aimed to delight customers in the compact car space. Maruti Suzuki design team feels that ConceptFutureS epitomizes the next level of design evolution in terms of design proportions, body sculpting and stimulating fusion of bold patterns and superior accent colors.

KIA SP Concept

One of the newest brands to enter India is the South Korean KIA Motors. The brand made its official entry into India at the Auto Expo 2018 with a full product showcase. However, none of the products are coming to India anytime soon. What is coming to India is a made for India, and made in India SP Concept compact SUV. The upcoming SUV will be manufactured at the company’s Andhra Pradesh based plant and will be the 1st KIA product to launch in India, followed by other products like the Picanto and the Sorento (though KIA hasn’t cleared the details on portfolio yet).

Renault Trezor

While the above two concepts will see the light of the day sometime soon, this one is a pure concept, and that too a flashy one. The Renault Trezor is a two-seater sports coupe that’s fully electric and autonomous at the same time. The design of the Trezor is eye-catching and is made by using a lot of hexagonal elements. However, it’s the canopy style door on the top of the car that makes it so special. The door lifts horizontally, making way for the driver to enter inside the cabin.

Maruti Suzuki E Survivor

Yet another Maruti Suzuki Concept, or rather Suzuki Concept to stand at the Auto Expo 2018 was the E-Survivor SUV. The e-Survivor is a design study model for a compact SUV that pays tribute to the Suzuki’s proud 4WD heritage. The concept symbolizes Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to helping develop the entire lifecycle of EVs in India, including the local manufacture of components, charging infrastructure and recycling of batteries. Positioned as a futuristic concept, Concept e-Survivor brings together many new technologies that depict Suzuki’s intent for Future Mobility.

Mahindra Stinger

Mahindra is known to showcase some outlandish SUV concepts at the Auto Expo. While last year they showcased the XUV Aero coupe concept, this year, Mahindra has showcased the TUV Stinger concept. The new TUV Stinger concept is the first Indian convertible SUV that features the capability of an SUV with the stylishness of a convertible. Powered by an engine from Mahindra’s iconic mHawk family, the TUV Stinger delivers 140 BHP and 320 Nm of torque. Its simple yet distinctive lighting signature is inspired by the scorpion, while the stylish LED headlamps and tail lamps add to the vehicle’s contemporary appeal.
