Lucknow: After the slump in the premium segment, now real estate developers are focussing on affordable housing for the medium and low income groups. In a bid to give a push to 'Housing for All by 2022' and make the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) scheme a grand success, real estate developers from across the country will gather in Lucknow for the first time to attend the national meet of The Confederation for Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) on 22nd and 23rd July.
Around 400 developers from Uttar Pradesh and 11500 developers from across country are currently members of the CREDAI.
According to Sanjay Seth, president, CREDAI-UP, "Developers participating in the conference will chalk out a roadmap to make affordable houses available to all and sundry and will also ensure their association with the PMAY scheme under PPP model. So that, private developers can help achieve the target of 'Housing for All by 2022'. Various social activities of the CREDAI will also be analysed during the conference and a strategy to increase its role would also be chalked out."
