Gold Price on March 15: Rate Rises Marginally in Major Cities; Silver Remains Unchanged

The cost of one gram of 22-carat gold increased by Re 1 to stand at Rs 4,388 compared to the earlier rate of Rs 4,387.

The rates of gold witnessed a marginal rise on Monday, March 15. According to Good Returns, the cost of one gram of 22-carat gold increased by Re 1 to stand at Rs 4,388 compared to the earlier rate of Rs 4,387. The cost of 10 grams of 22-carat-gold increased by Rs 10 to Rs 43,880 from Rs 43,870 on the previous day. Following the same trend, the price of 24 carats of the yellow metal also surged by Rs 10 for 10 grams to stand at Rs 44,880 from Rs 44,870 on the previous day. However, the rate of silver did not witness any changes on Monday.

In various cities of the country, the rate of the yellow metal varies seeing the changes in the national market. Here are the prices for your reference:

Delhi: In the national capital of the country kept the rate of 22-carat gold at Rs 44,170 per 10 grams. While the rate of 24-carat gold is at 48,180 per 10 grams.

Chennai: The customer will have to pay Rs 42,320 per 10 grams for buying 22-carat gold while for 24-carat gold of the same quantity the cost is Rs 46,170.

Kolkata: The rate of the yellow metal in Kolkata stood at Rs 44,310 for 10 grams while for 24-carat it is Rs 46,950 per 10 grams.

Mumbai: The price of 22-carat gold per 10 grams in Mumbai is Rs 43,880, while the purchaser will have to pay Rs 44,880 per 10 grams for 24-carat gold.

International Price of GoldIn the international market, the rate of gold or yellow metal decreased by 0.19 percent to USD 1,724.70 per ounce on Monday. Similarly, its performance in the last 30 days has also declined by 5.46 percent which is equivalent to USD 99.60.

Silver PricesNo changes were noticed in silver prices on Monday as the prices remained the same at Rs 669 per 10 grams compared to the previous day.

Silver Rates in Metro CitiesIn major metro cities of the country cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata the cost of silver stood at Rs 66,900 for one kilogram as the rate was the same in these cities. However, one will have to pay more for purchasing the metal in Chennai and Hyderabad that is Rs 71,400 for the same quantity of metal.
