The rates of the gold on Monday, March 8, increased marginally, rising by Re 1 for one gram of 22-carat gold which stood at Rs 4,532 compared to the earlier price of Rs 4,351. However, the prices of silver did not witness any changes compared to that of the previous day. According to Good Returns, the cost of 10 grams of 22-carat-gold stood at Rs 43,520 after witnessing an increase of Rs 10 from Rs 43,510. The price of 24-carat gold also surged by Rs 10 for 10 grams to stand at Rs 44, 520 from the earlier rate of Rs 44, 510. following the same trend.
Various states of the country also marked changes in the price of the yellow metal. Here are the details for your consideration:
Delhi: The rate of 22-carat gold in the national capital stood at Rs 43,860 per 10 grams. While buying 10 grams of 24-carat gold one will have to pay Rs 47,850.
Chennai: For 22-carat gold, the buyer will have to pay Rs 42,170 per 10 grams while for 24-carat gold Rs 46,000.
Kolkata: The rate of the yellow metal in Kolkata stood at Rs 44, 170 for 10 grams while for 24-carat of it is Rs 46,810 per 10 grams.
Mumbai: The price of 22-carat gold in Mumbai is Rs 43,520, while the purchaser of the metal will have to pay Rs 44,520 for 24-carat gold.
International Price of Gold
The rate of gold has increased in the international market by 0.42 percent to USD 1,707. 20 per ounce on Monday. However, the performance of the yellow metal in the last 30 days has declined by 5.95 percent which is equivalent to USD 108.00.
Witnessing no changes in the rates of the metal compared to the previous day, the silver price stood at Rs 657 per 10 grams.
Silver Rates in Metro Cities
The rate of silver in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata stood at Rs 65,700 for one kilogram as the costs were the same in these cities. Whereas, in Chennai and Hyderabad the buyer of the metal will have to pay more amount that is Rs 70,100 for the same quantity of metal.
