India and Pakistan. Two countries that have been at each other's throats since their independence. And for what? Even when not at war, there is very little love between them. Hate stems from the governments of both countries failing to come to a consensus. But it also stems from years and years of propaganda.

Gurmehar Kaur, the daughter of a Kargil martyr Captain Mandeep Singh, talks about this hate in a silent but powerful video. The 19-year-old talks about the hate she harboured for all Pakistanis and how she thought how all Muslims were Pakistani. It took her a long time to spit out the hate and let go of this baggage, and she urges everyone to do that.

With messages written on placards, she tells us why we need to fight for peace. The messages are short and very poignant. But they also make us understand how to let go of hatred.

"My mother made me understand that Pakistanis did not kill my dad. War killed him."

"Today I'm a soldier too, just like my dad. I fight for peace between India and Pakistan."

"Because if there was no war between us, my father would still be here today."
