George Harrison, the lead guitarist for the Beatles, visited India in 1966. He was 23 year old then. He visited the iconic Taj Mahal like any ordinary tourist and decided to click a selfie. Harrison travelled to New Delhi the same year and bought a sitar from Rikhi Ram & Sons. He was under the tutelage of sitar maestro Ravi Shankar. He also stayed for a while in Mumbai.
