A woman from West Bengal has triggered a series of queries and reactions on social media after she put in an affidavit in a newspaper informing the changing of her name from Anamika Mazumder to ‘Supreme Imperium’. Although Anamaika’s act of changing her name isn’t uncommon, its the choice of the new moniker that has netizens questioning and commenting on the unique choice. The woman, a resident of Bararankua village under Ramnagar police station in the East Midnapore district posted the affidavit saying from March 1, she would be known by her new name of ‘Supreme Imperium’.
“Henceforth, I recognised and known as Supreme Imperium instead of Anamika Mazumder,” read a part of the advertisement in the newspaper. The woman’s unusual choice of name and the advertisement have both gone viral on the internet now.
The advertisement also caused a lot of amusing reactions from social media users who tried to find a raesona s to why would someone want to name themselves as ‘Supreme Imperium’.
Here's what I presume:Supreme Imperium is similar to business name. She must have obtained some loan to purchase machinery and submitted quotations from Supreme Imperium ( can be real business or fake quotation). (1/2)

Some even compared it to the 90s sitcom Friends’ Phoebe Buffay’s now iconic name change idea of Princess Consuela Bananahammock
never thought anyone could surpass the princess consuella banna-hammock, but here it is.. — pirate boing boing away (@boing_humour) March 6, 2021
One user, however thought maybe the woman had probably messed up while filling forms for the name of her company and the proprietor. So instead of going through the tedious process of renaming her company, she is renaming herself instead.
Pretty simple actually…Ahe probably messed up while filling forms for Name of Company and Name of Proprietor…Instead of going through the harrowing process of renaming her company, she is renaming herself instead…
Pretty smart if you think about it…

Some even tried to ‘find’ other inferences from her choice of name
Average literacy rate of East Midnapore is 87%. That’s it. That’s the tweet.— DR. SNOW (@doctoredprofile) March 6, 2021
Someone else thought the formerly named Anamika might be playing the ‘Truth and Dare’ game with someone.

Well, whatever be it, we can only hope ‘Supreme Imperium’ is pleased with her name change!
