Not everyone gets to experience the joy of putting their dream out into the universe and getting it seen fulfilled within days. 93-year-old Boman Kohinoor is one of the lucky few. Boman is the owner of the 'Britannia & Company' restaurant, one of Mumbai's most famous Parsi cafes.

Boman is the textbook definition of 'fanboy' when it comes to the British Royal Family. Not only does his restaurant have a large frame photograph of Queen Elizabeth II, he also boasts of a letter he received from Buckingham Palace.

In a video made by Condé Nast Traveller India, Boman expressed his desire to meet Prince William, and his wife Kate Middleton, during the the royal couple's India visit.

Will the Royal family visit Britannia?

When the British left #India, they left their biggest, and maybe oldest, fan behind. Boman Kohinoor, 93, is the owner of the iconic Britannia restaurant in #Mumbai. Ahead of the the Royal couple's visit, he hopes his favourite family will give him the honour of hosting them. He promises that the famous berry pulav will be on the menu. Take our word for it—this is a meal worth travelling for. Will they or won't they? Do your bit. Spread the word. Condé Nast Traveller urged its viewers and readers to spread the message with the hashtag #WillKatMeetMe, in hopes that his dream come true. What happened next is testament to the power of social media. Over the next few days, more and more people spread the word about this aged gentleman's dream.

The universe has a way of making these things happen. On Sunday, 10th April, the 'Britannia Uncle' finally met the British Royal family. Boman was invited by Prince William and Kate Middleton to the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai for an 'out-of-schedule' meet.

“I met Their Royal Highnesses this evening at the Taj. They were very kind and asked me about my restaurant and my favourite dishes there,” Kohinoor told the travel magazine.
