The musical superstar is launching his highly anticipated album this week

Of his ten-track album, Calvin Harris has already released breezy tunes Feels (ft. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry & Big Sean), Slide (ft. Frank Ocean & Migos), Rollin (ft. Frank Ocean & Migos), and Heatstroke (ft. Young Thug, Pharrell Williams & Ariana Grande).

Billboard described Harris's swift career ascension as going from "posting his music online to producing material for Rihanna and selling millions under his own name within a few years." The remixer and DJ has won Grammys and MTV VMA awards, broken Michael Jackson's record for the most UK Top Ten singles from one album, and been named Forbes' highest-earning DJ (in 2013).

Born in 1984 in Scotland, Harris began recording bedroom demos in 1999. Adolescent Harris moved to London but floundered; he began posting homemade recordings on his MySpace page. An A&R representative from EMI signed Harris to the label in 2006.

Harris released his debut album, I Created Disco, in the summer of 2007. It featured two Top Ten hits (Acceptable in the 80s and The Girls), and climbed the album charts. Along with his work as a solo artist, Harris became an in-demand remixer -- working on singles by Jamiroquai, Groove Armada, All Saints, and CSS. He also wrote and produced songs for Kylie Minogue's 2007 comeback album. I'm Not Alone, the first single from his second album, Ready for the Weekend, hit number one upon release in April 2009, as did the album. Harris's third album, released in October 2012, 18 Months, was a collaboration-filled affair that featured Rihanna's We Found Love, plus collaborations with Ellie Goulding, Florence Welch, and Ne-Yo.

Harris's new record, Funk Wav Bounces Vol 1, features a staggering amount of guest artists. The figures span Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, Kehlani, Future, Pharrell, Katy Perry, Big Sean, John Legend, Khalid, Migos, Schoolboy Q, Ariana Grande, Young Thug, D.R.A.M., Nicki Minaj, Lil Yachty, Jessie Reyez, and Snoop Dogg.
