Watching one of the most celebrated cricketers to exist in the sport go back with a duck is not a good sight and when Indian skipper Virat Kohli departed without troubling the scorers on Friday during the fourth Test against England at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, scenes were pretty grim on social media. Notably, 2020 was the only calendar year where Kohli failed to score an international century. One might say that Covid-19 didn’t allow him to play, but the current England series is a case in point.
The dismissal came in the 27th over of day 2 of the final Test when Kohli found an edge to one of Ben Stokes’ deliveries and keeper Ben Foakes completed the formalities with a regulation catch. With this, Kohli has registered a new record. He now has eight ducks as India Test captain- the joint-most for any Indian skipper alongside Mahendra Singh Dhoni in Tests.
Not a pleasant sight for many, several fans from India and outside were bummed by Kohli’s early departure.

However, there was a particular video that captured a fan’s reaction during Kohli’s dismissal that went viral across microblogging site Twitter on Friday.
“Watch the Reaction of my sister after Virat Kohli has been Got Out by Ben stocks," a Twitter user by the handle @sujal_jaiswal16 tweeted.
In the video, the user can be seen taunting his sister who has her hands and disappointment all over her face.

Kohli now has a second duck in a series. Statisticians are digging out when was the last time this happened to the modern-day great. Right now, he has more ducks than pacer Jasprit Bumrah. Yes, he has 9 ducks in his entire Test career, Kohli has 12! However, here Kohli’s Delhi teammate Ishant Sharma is ahead of him with 32 ducks.
