Boman Irani is a man of many talents.
Irani's extraordinary journey before making it big in the industry is a stuff of movies. After establishing himself as a successful photographer and a theatre actor, Irani, with his role as Dr. Asthana in the 2003 hit Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. was here to stay.
And, now, Irani has added a new feather to his creative cap.
A motivational speaker at events, The "Virus" of 3 Idiots, recently turned into a singer at Algebra Conversations, where he showcased his hidden talent by performing a beautiful rendition of "My Way"-- a song popularied by Frank Sinatra in 1969.
In an interview with TOI in 2010, the actor admitted that he's open to singing in movies. "Singing is a fun thing. I am not looking at singing as a career. I am not a trained singer but I am open to singing for films," the actor said.
The actor's impromptu performance was met with thunderous applause from the audience present at the venue and heaped praises on video uploaded on YouTube.
"Wow Boman I am pleasantly surprised, you have a wonderful instrument, love the vibrato in your voice. There are times your instrument sounds like Tom Jones but I love your version of this song, excellent, bravo especially the high notes very clean and controlled. I would buy your album if you cut a record. Well done my friend not only are a great businessman and excellent actor and now a wonderful singer, you surely are achieving all your dreams, good for you, much love and blessings to you," wrote one viewer.
Incidentally, the song also sums up Irani's arduous life.
