England have been a subject of social media trolling ever since the visiting side were handed a comprehensive 10-wicket defeat by India in the Third Test in Ahmedabad that folded well inside two days. The victory took India 2-1 up in the four-match Test series. The win, however, wasn’t received well by critics and former players criticized the pitch for being too “bowler-friendly". But the world moved on and the two teams once again locked horns at the Narendra Modi Stadium (Motera) on Thursday for the fourth and the final clash to wrap up the series.
But even before Joe Root won the toss and decided to bat first, cricket fans were armed with memes and mockery- all of which were directed towards the English squad. To make matters worse, the previous match’s hero Axar Patel has already scalped both the openers Zak Crawley and Dom Sibley under 8 overs of the first innings on the first day of the final Test.

Harsha Bhogle perfectly sums up the series - "There is a pandemic and it's the straight ball from Axar Patel".— Johns. (@CricCrazyJohns) March 4, 2021
After Patel dismissing the English openers, Mohammed Siraj trapped the skipper Joe Root in front of the wickets. At the time of writing this, England has lost three wickets at a score of 60.
