Merry Christmas! Or it is Meri Christmas? Or even Marry Christmas?

Well turns out a number of people in India do not know what the actual spelling of the term is but are nevertheless interested in finding out what it is.

And so misspelt versions of 'Merry Christmas'are trending on Google search in India. In fact, the most searched keyword in India on Google today was 'Meri Christmas'.

Google is not the only place where the spelling error showed up. Social media was also trending with terms such as 'meri Christmas' but in a different way.

Many on Twitter made a meme out of the 'meri' which means 'mine' or 'my' in Hindi. 'Meri Christmas' literally translates into 'My Christmas'. Many have been using the pun to give out Christmas messages.
