Michelle Obama on Thursday was lauded and appreciated on Twitter for delivering a powerful speech at a campaign rally in New Hampshire for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

While the First lady of the United States touched on several keys issues that dominate the upcoming elections, she also shared her thoughts and views on the sexual assault allegations against the Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump.

She said that Trump's boast on a 2005 tape about his fame allowing him to "do anything to women" shook her to the core.

Speaking at the campaign rally, Mrs. Obama called the comments "shocking and demeaning." She also dismissed Trump's claim that the remarks were simply "locker room talk," saying they were an affront to every woman, parent and citizen in United States.

Michelle Obama said the comments made by Trump are part of a long history of belittling and ill-treating women.

"We have a candidate for president of the United States who over the course of his lifetime, over the course of this campaign, has said things about women that are shocking, so demeaning," she said. "I simply will not repeat anything here today. Last week, we actually saw this candidate bragging about sexually assaulting women. I can't believe I'm saying that, a candidate for president of the United States bragged about sexually assaulting women."

Mrs. Obama's powerful speech and hard-hitting comments won hearts.

Her speech was lauded as one of the most powerful of the entire campaign.

In fact, a lot of social media users thanked her for restoring their faith in the otherwise dismal elections.

Here's how social media user praised the First Lady for delivering a speech as powerful as this.

"No matter your political preference, Michelle Obama's speech on Thursday in New Hampshire was powerful and riveting. She is a bright lady (sic)."

"This Michelle Obama speech is going to be remembered for years (sic)."

"I've heard three people suggest Michelle Obama should be president. I'm onboard (sic)."

"Michelle Obama is giving one of the most important speeches of the entire campaign (sic)."

"I could barely breathe listening to this speech. I've watched it twice now. She is absolutely brilliant here (sic)."

"Oh yes, I watched every minute of Michelle Obama's speech & it left me with goosebumps. If you haven't seen it yet, I suggest you do (sic)."

"Michelle Obama's speech in New Hampshire made me freaking cry we are so lucky to have her (sic)."

"Every time you get depressed knowing this world has a Donald Trump, stop and remember it also has a Michelle Obama (sic)."

"I watched Michelle Obama's 30 minute speech from yesterday. One the most powerful speeches I've heard in ages. Outstanding (sic)."

"@Flotus U R truly one of the classiest woman I have ever known of, Michelle Obama. Felt your 'righteous anger'. You spoke for MOST women (sic)."
