March 2020 was a wild, wild month. Covid-19 became a real thing. It wasn’t a random, isolated virus outbreak anymore. Schools, offices, shops, businesses downed their shutters. Staying away from fellow human beings became the need of the hour. Circles were marked to maintain social distancing. Videos of how to wash your hands were made. Practise of washing and sanitising was given more importance than ever before. People masked up. Lockdown became the new normal. Deserted roads reminded everyone of a dystopian world. Humans were confined to their homes while many others were displaced from theirs.
Come March 2021, the coronavirus pandemic is still at large. Social distancing, wearing a protective face cover, and sanitising are still the best methods to keep the virus at bay as people queue up to get vaccinated.
Reminded of what had unfolded a year ago, Twitterati marked the month by sharing memes and using humour to express what has or hasn’t changed in the past 12 months.
