The much-awaited interview of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry with Oprah Winfrey has revealed some shocking truths about the British Royal family. Besides the revelation regarding incessant racism against her, Meghan also told Oprah that she was completely unaware of how the Royal Family functioned. In the two-hour long candid interview, the 39-year-old actress told Oprah that it was another royal family member Sarah Ferguson who taught her how to curtsy in front of Queen Elizabeth. Meghan’s first meeting with the Queenwas at the Royal Lodge in Windsor and at that time, she did not know how to curtsy and was not aware that it was expected of her.
However, her then partner Harry did tell her that it was expected of her. Meghan told Oprah that it was right in front of the house where she and Harry practiced and ran in. And that is when Sarahcame in and helped her as she asked her, “Do you know how to curtsy?"reports Daily Mail.
Meghan refers to Sarah, the Duchess of York, throughout the interviewas Fergieis renowned for her trademark deep curtsies to the queen. Meghan recalled that apparently she did a very deep curtsy, and she does not remember it. After the formal meeting was over, Meghan and Fergie sat and chatted for a little while.
