Growing up, 90s kids or kids from the earlier generation did not have much choice when it came to delicious snacks. But whatever little range of snack was available, made our mouths water. Now even though there is a wide variety of biscuits available in the market, biscuits of the good old days with their unique flavours and memories are certainly going to take you back in time.
And one tweet has managed to do that with a single picture of what biscuits looked like in the old days. Joint Commissioner IRS Aman Preet shared a picture of the special biscuits that our mothers used to reserve especially for guests keeping us salivating while the guests munched on the coveted bakery item. Captioning the picture Aman Preet tweeted, “Who all remember their mothers saying that these biscuits are for guests?”
किस किस की mummy कहती थीं- यह biscuits guests के लिए हैं । 😋😋 pic.twitter.com/2rArqLbFju

With over 640 likes and 30 retweets, netizens have shared their own memories of the biscuits. One user dubbed it as VIP biscuits since ordinary members of the house never got the chance to savour the supreme delicacy from the bakers. Expressing agreement with Aman Preet’s tweet the user further wrote that even their mother used to keep the biscuits separately and only served them to guests.
मेरी मां भी

While another user wrote that they used to wait for the guests to leave so that they can finally have the long-awaited opportunity to get their hands on the irresistible snacks.
कौन कौन guests के निकलने का इंतजार करते थे और उनके निकलते ही biscuits पर टूट पङता थे😂😂😂😂😂 @IrsAman

However, one user commented how he never had to face any such issue since their mother always brought the bakery biscuits for them and for guests she used to serve the classic ParleG glucose biscuits.
Never. She always brought for us only. Guests ke liye #ParleG

Another commented how he never really got the chance to see such a wide variety of biscuits during childhood and had only Parle-G for support.
हमने तो इतने बिस्कुट देखे भी नहीं थे बचपन में !

A twitterati commented that even though their mother used to warn against eating the biscuits they used to somehow sneak in and devise a method to eat the biscuits any way.
