India's recent victory in Australia has prompted celebrations across India. However, an unlikely message of congratulations from across the border has caused many on Twitter to praise Pakistan PM Imran Khan.

After India's historic victor in Australia on Jan 7, social media was flooded with congratulatory messages. Among these was a single tweet by the cricketer turned Pakistani PM Imran Khan.

The simple message was appreciated by many on social media who saw this as a gracious reminder of the amity that could exist between the two countries. Many praised Khan for setting aside political differences and praising the Indian victory like a true sportsperson.

Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team has been reaping a lot of praise for its performance in the Test series. Captain Virat Kohli termed the Test series victory as his biggest achievement till date, rating it higher than the World Cup triumph at home in 2011.
