Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra, who will be essaying the role of Saina Nehwal in the badminton ace’s biopic recently shared a photo of herself comparing it to Nehwal. The photo shared by Parineeti looks like a spitting image of the sportswoman. The actress expressed her excitement at playing the role in her Instagram caption and captioned it saying, “Thrilled to be able to do THIS as an actor once in my life. The actress had also wished Nehwal on her birthday on March 17 with an inspiring post.
Wishing Saina, Parineeti wrote, “My champion, and my muse! Trying to become you for the last 2 years was my biggest honour … Happy bdayyy SAINA! Hope we make you proud with your story.”
However as much as Parineeti’s resemblance to Saina in the photo is uncanny, users couldn’t help but notice how the makeup artist went a bit too far with the sportswoman’s mole on her face while replicating that on Parineeti. Social media users felt the mole was a huge distraction amid the perfect pose Parineeti struck in her Saina attire.

So even though Parineeti’s post received over 12,000 likes, fans commented on how the mole was a major distracting feature.

However several praised Parineeti’s efforts to try and make her look very similar to that of Saina. A few days back, Parineeti posted a behind-the-scenes video about how she trained for the ace shuttler’s biopic. The Bollywood actress took part in a series of grueling sessions to get into the character. Parineeti was last seen in her recently-released OTT film The Girl On The Train. The actress will next be seen in Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, which releases today.
