Brazilian bestselling author Paulo Coelho has created a Guinness World Record for the most translated book by any living author. Coelho tweeted a photo of the certificate on Monday.
The author published 'The Alchemist' in 1988, a book about a shepherd in search of treasure. However, the only problem was that it didn't sell. His flop book eventually became an international seller and has now become the most translated book by any living author.
Today 'The Alchemist' has sold 65 million copies and has featured on The New York Times bestseller list for over 315 weeks. The book has been translated into 80 different languages.####
