Preity Zinta made an oopsie while wishing Team India on their historic away win, leaving netizens dumbfounded.
The Indian cricket team, led by skipper Virat Kohli, scripted history on Monday after the visitors became the first team from Asia to win a Test series in Australia.
Persistent rain dampened India’s aim to win the fourth and last Test in Sydney, and the series 3-1, but given this was India’s first series win in Australia, the game's followers had little to complain of.
Congratulatory wishes from every corner poured in on social media after India sealed the Test series 2-1. Among them was a tweet from Bollywood actress and Kings XI Punjab owner Preity Zinta.
What did she tweet?
In her post (now deleted), Zinta wrote, "Congratulations to the boys in blue for being the first Asian team to win a test match down under@cheteshwar1 take a bow#AUSvsIND #victory #ting #TeamIndia #IndianCricketTeam @BCCI pic.twitter.com/2oaZtRZIcA"
Fans and 'vigilant' Twitterati were quick to spot the error(s) in Zinta's tweet, which were:
1) Boys in blue.
2) First Asian team to win a test match down under.
And the trolling began. While others simply pointed out the error in her tweet.

Not all were critical of her erroneous tweet.
Miheer - Agree that Preity Zinta made a small mistake in above tweet. But we all make mistakes and just being a Celebrity does not deprive Preity her right of making such errors. It's not ACCEPTABLE to address her as Half-Knowledgable as she is quite Intelligent woman & an actor.— SAURABH NAYYAR (@saurabhnayyar82) January 8, 2019
Meanwhile, cricketers were all praises of Team India's achievement.

Congratulations India on a stupendous victory. It’s a big day for us as sporting nation. For once, let’s not debate or dissect the impact of absence of Warner/Smith, let’s just savour the moment and be proud. Let’s be together on this one at least! @BCCI @SPNSportsIndia #INDvAUS— Gautam Gambhir (@GautamGambhir) January 7, 2019
