Shah Rukh Khan Wrote a Poem About Women Empowerment and It's Beautiful

''This is for girls who stay up all night, this is for you who are willing to fight.''

Actor Shah Rukh Khan who was present at the launch of debutante author Gunjan Jain's book She Walks, She Leads, talked about the women in his life who have been his inspirations. The book profiles 24 women from all walks of life, including Nita Ambani, Chanda Kochhar and Swati Piramal.

According to the Bollywood superstar, his life has been shaped up by the women in his life, including his grandmother, wife, daughter and those with whom he has worked in the film industry.

"They have helped me achieve 100 per cent of what I am today. I wouldn't be half a man without these women. I owe my life to them," said Shah Rukh Khan.

Shah Rukh Khan then proceeded to narrate a poem he penned down after being inspired by a comment he read of former One Direction band member Zayn Malik. The poem speaks of women who have made mistakes and have regrets, but have not and won't give up.
