A dog came to a goalkeeper's rescue and saved an inevitable goal, thereby proving that canines are indeed man's best friend (and or the opposition's worst enemy).
The bizarre incident took place during Argentinian third-division match between Juventud Unida and Defensores de Belgrano when the stray dog decided to do a cameo and turn into an overnight celebrity.
In the footage that is being shared online, the Defensores' goalkeeper appeared to have cost his team an easy goal in the already lost cause (3-0) when he shot the ball directly to an opposition player, leaving goal post unguarded.
This was when a Juventud Unida player thought he'd turn the opportunity into a goal until he noticed the substitute goalkeeper sprinting across to the field and blocking the certain goal.
