Being a teacher is not an easy job, but it can be made fun if you are someone like George Pointon. The teacher turns into a talent show judge every Friday as he asks his first standard students to explore their creative side.

In a Twitter thread that is now going viral, George shared how he assessed the young kids on their humour last week. A total of twelve students presented the best jokes they could come up with in class and George shared his analysis.

The first joke was presented by Alice who came up with a basic yet creative wordplay wit. The joke was “Why did the cow cross the road? – To go to the Mooovies.”

George wrote down his assessment for each student and for Alice, he said that she had great timing and great energy. He further said that she also got a big laugh from the class. Although she is still raw as a comic, wrote George, Alice certainly showed a lot of promise. He gave her eight out of ten in his assessment.

Another stellar performance was by Ravi, who although recycled the joke from a parent or uncle, according to George. But it did not matter to him because Ravi had his confident style. Giving him nine out of ten George mentioned that he is a promising talent.

However, there were some not so funny kids as well, like Katie who pretty much recited the same joke as Alice. Giving her two out of ten, George wrote in his assessment that Katie wanted a slice of Alice’s pie and on top of copying her classmate she had less conviction in delivering the joke. Being quite blunt George wrote, “No style or character. Even got the punchline wrong.”

George’s tweet has been liked over 92.7k times and retweeted over 24k times since it was shared on Tuesday. Some netizens have declared the tweet thread as the highlight of 2021 while others are floored by its brilliance.
