In the aftermath of devastating snowstorms and power outage, several residents of Austin, Texas, have spotted the sudden appearance of the dreaded Game of Thrones villain the Night Kings. A Reddit post shared on subreddit r/pics by u/JediWithAnM4 six days ago shows a man dressed up as the Night King standing on the snow-covered ground giving off an eerie Game of Thrones finale season vibe.
The post with over 100k upvotes was captioned by the user as, “Someone has been going around Austin, Texas setting up Ice Kings in random places.” However, netizens were quick to come in with their wits and hilarious remarks.
One of the users commented, how the Night King should wear a cowboy hat to look like he belonged to the region, “Throw a cowboy hat on that sucker!”
While another user wrote that they were intrigued by the sudden appearance of the character, and if it is a spinoff about the Night King’s backstory then they are certainly up for it. “I might actually watch that spinoff”, read the comment.
The post was also shared on Twitter where users said that it was probably because of the Night King that Texas faced the surprising snowstorm and the power outage last week. One user commented that they are thinking that the whole freezing Texas situation is just because the White Walkers wanted to party for the Night King’s bachelor party.
Another user tweeted that as if things were not bad enough for the people in Austin, the Night King appeared. Some wondered if Jon Snow or Night King are going to have a duel in Austin.
While one user drew a whole Game of Thrones analogy to describe the situation in Texas and wrote that the weather in Texas represents the white walkers, and climate change is the Night King and the state’s Republican Senator Ted Cruz is Cersi because even though he keeps seeing how big of a threat it all is he is not smart enough to realize it.
