What should you do when you're locked inside a store? Tweet about it. That's exactly what David Willis did when he got locked inside the Waterstones bookstore in London. A tourist from Texas, Willis was locked inside the store for a couple of hours. He entered the store moments before it was closing to use the free Wi-Fi. Five minutes before the store was about to close, the tourist strolled in and went to the second floor to use the internet.
Ten to fifteen minutes later when Willis got down leaving, the doors were locked and the lights were off! After contacting a security guard and receiving no help, he decided to use Twitter to broadcast that he was locked. He posted on Twitter and Instagram about being locked inside the store between 2 am to 4 am. The tweets got retweeted thousands of times on Twitter and eventually reached a Waterstones employee who quickly acted upon it. David Willis tweeted 'I'm free' after he was finally rescued.
