Gangnam Style, Call Me Maybe, Friday and Chocolate Rain were songs that YouTube made viral. All these songs found their place on a karaoke mashup that YouTube arranged for its ninth birthday. It is hard to believe that YouTube had indeed been around for 9 years now!

The YouTube channel 'YouTube Spotlight' invited some of its favourite stars to perform on its ninth birthday bash. It was only fitting to celebrate with a karaoke music video because all of the top 30 most viewed videos on YouTube are music videos except 'Charlie bit my finger'. 'Gangnam Style' is the most viral video on YouTube with close to 2 billion views.

The other hits such as Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Call Me Maybe' is the 12th most viewed video with 550 million views, and Rebecca Black's 'Friday' which has 68 million views also made it to this list.
